Special Projects

Inevitably, some projects fall outside of the normal scope of our day-to-day activities. This can be converting doors from mechanical to electrical operation, modifying old control panels to more modern PLC driven ones, designing and manufacturing bespoke steelwork or installing bespoke equipment.

One of the larger special projects we have undertaken is to install an 30 tonne lorry lift in London on behalf of one of our market leader lift customers. The lift was installed in sections; the base plates, then the base frame, then the two huge scissor arms, then the lift table. On top of that the lift car was installed. The photographs below show parts of the lift.

On these types of project we become involved at the very beginning and help to plan the installation procedure, health and safety requirements and timelines. We work very closely with our customer and the site agents to ensure that the project remains on schedule and within budget.
